Black Bean Chili – THM

Our favorite alternative to real chili — real chili always takes precedence these days.
ingredients
- 1Teaspoon —Vegetable oil
- 1Each —Onion, diced
- 2Clove —Garlic, minced
- 1Pound —Ground turkey
- 315-ounce cans of black beans, undrained
- 114.5-ounce can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2Tablespoons —Chili powder
- 1Tablespoon —Dried oregano
- 1Tablespoon —Dried basil leaves
- 1Tablespoon —Red wine vinegar
instructions
Heat the oil in a large heavy pot over medium heat; cook the onion and garlic until the onions are translucent.
Add turkey and cook, stirring, until meat is brown.
Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, and vinegar.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer 60 minutes or more, until flavors are well blended.
