Probably the simplest and best cake recipe there is. This has been a hit with everybody who has sampled it. Great with coffee in the morning or drizzled with your favorite fruit or chocolate.

ingredients

  • 3Sticks —
    Butter
  • 6Each —
    Eggs
  • 8Ounces —
    Cream cheese
  • 3Cups —
    Sugar
  • 2Teaspoons —
    Vanilla
  • 3Cups —
    SoftasSilk cake flour, sifted

instructions

  1. Allow butter, eggs, and cream cheese to attain room temperature (8-10 hours).

  2. Using a mixer, mix sugar, cream cheese, and butter until light and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating each one thoroughly before adding the next. Use a spatula to turn batter from the bottom of the mixing bowl, where the egg whites tend to collect.

  4. Add vanilla.

  5. Lower mixer speed and add cake flour.

  6. Spray a bundt pan with Baker’s Joy, then pour the cake batter into the pan.

  7. Cook in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Test for doneness.

  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan; otherwise, the surface will get hard.
