Broccoli Salad

This is a great side dish for grilled meat or a festive side dish (use the dried cranberries) at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
ingredients
- 1Bunch —Broccoli, cut and broken into flowerets
- 1Red onion, diced
- 1Pound —Bacon - cooked and crumbled
- 1/4Cup —Sugar
- 1Tablespoon —White vinegar
- 1/2Cup —Mayonnaise
- 1/4Cup —Raisins (optionally use dried cranberries)
instructions
In a large bowl, mix broccoli, onion, bacon, and raisins.
In a separate bowl, blend sugar, vinegar, and mayonnaise.
Pour dressing over broccoli mixture. While it can be served immediately, letting it sit in the refrigerator for an hour or two is recommended.
